Dr Matilda Lee is a consultant at the Department of Haematology–Oncology in the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore. Her clinical and research interests are in breast cancer and sarcomas. She was awarded the inaugural gold medal at the Medical Oncology Exit Exam in Singapore, and has received her Master of Clinical Investigation from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is a co-investigator in several investigator-initiated and multinational clinical trials and has written study protocols and published research in peer-reviewed journals.

She has completed a clinical attachment at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, United Kingdom, where she received specialised training in managing soft tissue sarcomas, and was a co-investigator in several UK- and European-based clinical trials and studies during her time there. Dr Lee is also active in postgraduate medical education and is at present the associate program director of the Medical Oncology Senior Residency Program at the National University Health System.
