Dr Fei Sim

Dr Fei Sim is the national president and chair of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Board, making her the first female and diverse cultural background representative to hold this position since 1977. Previously serving as the WA State President of PSA from 2017 to 2021, Dr Sim now leads the inaugural PSA Contemporary Community Pharmacy Practice (CCPP) Communities of Specialty Interest, fostering collaboration, innovation and strategic progression in pharmacy. As a senior lecturer and coordinator of International Engagement at Curtin University, she holds a doctoral degree in pharmacy and is a practising pharmacist, community pharmacy owner, pharmacist immuniser, and accredited mental health first aid instructor.

Dr Sim’s dedication to the profession is reflected in her roles on various professional and academic committees, her commitment to growth in professional services, and her passion for inspiring future leaders in primary healthcare. She leads multiple research projects and trials focused on pharmacist-led immunisation, mental health, primary care, minor ailments management, and diabetes. Recognised with teaching awards, including the 2018 PSA WA Early Career Pharmacist Award and the 2019 PSA National Early Career Pharmacist of the Year Award, Dr Sim’s work exemplifies her commitment to patient care, leadership, innovation and professional engagement.
