Dr Kevin Yap

Dr Kevin Yap is an interdisciplinary digital health strategist, healthcare innovator and cyberpharmacy futurist. His interests span the whole digital healthcare innovation cycle through the development, utilisation, application and/or evaluation of informatics, internet and other health-related technologies in various healthcare settings to enhance patient care and safety and health-related information and medications management. His work includes the development and quality evaluation of healthcare innovations, telehealth/ mobile health applications, virtual reality and serious games, and 3D-printed applications. He has also applied artificial intelligence techniques in clinical predictions of side effects, as well as established quality assessment tools to combat the COVID-19 infodemic and evaluate other digital health technologies.

Dr Yap has authored over 100 journal publications, four book chapters, one book and presented at over 100 conferences. His work has won many awards and has been featured in various media channels in Singapore and Australia, including The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao, The Australian News and iMedicalApps mHealth Research Digest, an international website featuring medical apps for healthcare professionals. He is the co–editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Digital Health and sits on various journal editorial boards. He is also an invited reviewer of many international journals, grants and conferences.
