NUS InSPIRxE Alumni–Student Mentorship Programme by Dr Hui Ting CHNG
In this panel discussion, Dr Hui Ting Chng will share her experience and learnings from designing and implementing an alumni mentorship programme at the National University of Singapore Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She will discuss the aims and format of the programme, as well as the results from surveys of mentors and mentees on what they have learned and discussed.

Alexandra Hospital Pharmacist Mentorship Programme by Dr Golda WANG

Dr Hui Ting Chng, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, National University of Singapore and has been a registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council since 2009. She is a dynamic and passionate educator, with the expertise to bridge the teaching of cross-disciplinary pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences, and interdisciplinary arts and sciences. She is adept at using various active and collaborative learning pedagogies such as jigsaw, fishbowl discussions, and visual-thinking strategies, underpinned by constructivist, motivational learning, and cognitive load theories, to engage students in their learning. Her education research interests are on interprofessional and interdisciplinary education, active and collaborative learning pedagogy, mentorship, motivation in learning, and empathy. Her disciplinary research interests are in the areas of pharmacokinetics of drugs used in veterinary medicine and drug information.

As Cluster GM, Ms Pang led ~400 employees across functions and geographies, building high-performing teams grounded in trust, agility, and shared ambition. She also built a regional marketing organisation from the ground up, uniting 13 Asian markets under a bold vision of brand excellence and transformational growth. With a background in strategy consulting, Ms Pang is recognised as an innovator who bridges science with strategy and champions the integration of AI and data to enhance patient outcomes.
Beyond the boardroom, Ms Pang is a passionate mentor and associate lecturer. She believes mentoring sparks courage, connection, and limitless possibilities – an anchor shaped by purpose, curiosity, and the power of storytelling to uplift others.

Dr Golda WANG

Dr Golda Wang is a pharmacist at Alexandra Hospital, part of the National University Health System in Singapore. Holding a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the National University of Singapore, Dr Wang has spearheaded the development of several clinical pharmacy services in the hospital.
She was also instrumental in creating a mentorship programme for early career pharmacists in Alexandra Hospital, which presented another platform for role modelling and learning by pharmacists for pharmacists.

Dr Donavan Marcus NEO

Dr Donavan Marcus Neo, PhD, is a pharmacy-trained chemical biologist, microbiologist and pharmaceutical educator. He pursued an undergraduate degree in pharmacy at the National University of Singapore (NUS), funded by the A*STAR Undergraduate Scholarship. This was followed by a brief stint as a teaching assistant at the department before he embarked on postgraduate studies in Harvard University. During his PhD, he trained with Professor Deborah Hung in the interface of chemical biology and microbiology, developing new tools for genetic manipulation and drug screening in bacteria (specifically Mycobacterium abscessus). In 2024, he returned to NUS as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His professional interests include infectious diseases, antibiotic drug discovery and resistance, chemical biology, and molecular biology, as well as pharmaceutical and interdisciplinary education.
